James and Amanda Black are both U.S. Navy veterans with 27 combined years of service. James is a Ford Certified Master Technician with 20+ years in automotive. Amanda is a retired Gas Turbine Mechanic with a decade of hands-on powersports and vehicle experience.

James and Amanda Black are the husband and wife team behind JAMM Mobile Mechanics — married for over 20+ years and partners in everything they do. Between them, they bring 27 combined years of U.S. Navy service and decades of hands-on mechanical experience to every job.
James served 6 years in the Navy as a Machinist's Mate, then spent over 20 years working in automotive shops — earning his Ford Certified Master Technician certification along the way. He brings dealership-level expertise straight to your driveway.
Amanda served 21 years in the Navy as a Gas Turbine Mechanic, mastering complex machinery and high-stakes repairs under pressure. After retiring, she joined James full-time — working alongside him and building their business.
Together, they built JAMM on the same values the Navy instilled in them: show up on time, do the job right, and never leave someone stranded. No waiting rooms. No upsells. Just honest work done where you are.
